ok....slick...i think i may know the waitress you are talking about...is she tall and red headed? if so her name is jessica..yes indeed she is a smarty pants! me and my family have been going to zorbas our whole intire life and let me tell ya there food is in doubt the best food you will ever eat in nw ga! but dont let a waitress who was bad stop you from going there because trust me they have alot of good waitresses! there is this one waitress who looks like sarah palin, she wears glasses and she has dark hair and i cant belive i dont remeber her name cause we always go in there and eat... and she is the very best one who has ever waited on us! she is very very friendly and she loves to talk to you about anything! she is fast, friendly, and she will even offer to give you a total on your bill and even take it to the register for you and you dont even have to ask her she will just do it. so if you are ever there again ask for the waitress who looks like sarah palin...i promise you, you wont regret it! but back to the food...they do have very good steaks and lobster and italian dishes! my kids always get the pop shrimp and the chicken tenders. but i love eating there and my kids do too...we have never had ant bad experience there because everythime we go there the food and service is excellent..but we never had the girl wait on us who had waited on you guys..but im telliing you...you need to try it one more time and you wont regret it! dont forget to ask for the younger sarah palin lol!

Slick I have no idea why you think your experience was bad. My husband and family have been eatting at Zorba's for years and I think I might know the server you are being so harsh on. Personally, I love her. Friendly and outgoing, young college age girl? The reason your ticket wasn't all summed up was probebly beacuse there are no computers anywhere around. Personally I see whoever waited on me at the register many times after I have eatten. The same people that wait on you answer the phone and take the money too. Maybe your waitress was just trying to be helpful. My daughter works as a waitress and I know that sometimes she answers the phone and does to go orders because she is supposed to. If you didn't notice the waitress "station" is the area right behind the cash register. Anyway, sometimes food takes a bit longer. Kitchens get mixed up and different people do different things. Over all we love the place and go at least once a week. The prices have gone up a dollar or so in the past couple of years but then so has everything. The food is great and the portions are big. My girls love the chicken alfredo. Where else do you know not only who is serving your food but who is cooking it and paying the bills for the place too? Zorba's beats chilis anyday!

Good Food... Bad Server. I'm sorry to do this because the food was actually good except for my sisters slouvaki gyro, which came 15 minutes later than everyone else's food and was undercooked. But the server really annoyed me, it seems she had a little system going with the cashier. When she gave us the bill it had the individual item prices but not the total, when I asked if I was supposed to give her the bill back with my card she replied " I'm an English major not a Math major". Now, I understand she was just trying to be funny and it might have been funny except that, when I went to the cash register to pay my untotaled bill there was another one of her customers there also paying, and the server walked up and stood next to the cashier while we were both paying, and just stood there watching us, while the cashier was totaling the check. After she totaled it she asked if I wanted to put the tip on the bill, I said yes, and she said how much, I said the amount, all the while the server was watching and listening to make sure she got a tip and a good enough one. After she rang it up she gave the server(standing right next to her) my tip( which was about 23%) and the server replies " Wow, Thanks, I'll have to come up here more often". So like I said, good food, but they have a server who likes to try to get the best tip she can by standing over you.

I've worked at Zorba's for almost 8 years now and yes jojo is right; your waitress's name was Jessica. She is upbeat, sarcastic, has a witty and sick sense of humor, and is also my best friend. Don't worry bc you are not the only person she has rubbed the wrong way, however, once you learn her sense of humor, she is quite likable. Also, please don't hold that one bad experience against the restaurant as a whole. As far as her standing at the counter, we all do. Its the only place to go and be mostly out of everyone's way. While we are there, we can help each other if necessary. As for the check, none of us total them unless you ask. We usually have to use the calculator to do so. It may seem a bit medieval, but it is Cedartown and we are a small, family owned and operated place. I apologize for the bad experience and hope you try again sometime.
