Jones restaurant: For a nice famly style setting, Jones is the place to go. Good food, and laid back atmosphere You will enjoy this restaurant. Might not look much from the outside, but inside where it counts!

Heavenly Ham Biscuit: There was at least one hog out there who was not slaughtered in vain. Yesterday en route to Alabama I stopped by the Hardee's drive-thru just off Interstate 20 in Temple and had the very best country ham biscuit in my life. The beast had perhaps been farmed at sea as it was salted perfectly - and it was not so much sandwiched between a biscuit but wrapped in buttery cottonballs which dissolved upon the tongue like sugar. Mmmmm, mmmm, mmmm! And for only $1.89 ($2.02 after tax). If this Hardee's weren't 68 miles from my house I would drive back today, but chances are they can never repeat such a flawless performance. But, even if the biscuit is only half as good next time it would still be better than most country ham biscuits I have been served. As a bonus, the lady running the drive-thru was friendly and efficient. I think Hardee's definitely has the best publicly-accessible country ham biscuits of any franchise but the 2 locations near me are not consistent and about 20% of the time they really disappoint me, but the 80% keeps me returning. And they serve sweet tea in the morning to wash the salt down!
