If you want tons of great food at the best prices, this is the place for you. While there may be new faces in the front, I've been told by several waitresses that the cook is the same one from before the fire and the closing. And by the taste of the food I believe it. We have been going here for years and have never had a bad meal. And now that they are fully up to speed the specials are back every night. Actually, the only thing missing from before the fire is the wonderful bread that you would get while waiting for your meal. Be sure to sign up for the discount card-if you eat there as much as we do, you'll have a free meal before long. Try the chicken pot pie, the stir fry, the burgers-oh heck, try anything and you won't be disappointed!! And don't forget dessert! My wife and I find ourselves at all hours after an evening out sitting and enjoying a hot drink and sharing a slice of cake. Yeah, I said sharing. Because there is no way one person can eat a slice by themselves. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert-this is the place to be!!! Welcome back, Broadway Diner, we missed you.
It's back! But moved! Stockbridge location gets the one star. If you want 5 stars checkout Broadway Diner 535 South Glynn Street, Fayetteville, GA 30214. All the great people from 2 years ago moved to the Fayetteville location. And it's worth the drive. Great service and great food. Expect the line out the door for seating on Saturday and Sunday. And it's worth it.
7/1/09 - I avoided this place for two years (see my review below), although they were closed for a year of that time because of a fire. I had visitors from out of town this morning and couldn't find a decent place to take them for breakfast. Wanting to avoid a fast food place, I reluctantly went back to the Broadway Diner...the food was great, the service was excellent and friendly, the dessert selection was back to nearly what it used to be (brought home a slice of banana pudding cake for later which I was glad to see that they offeered again, a favorite from the old days under their old ownership) and the prices were more reasonable than I recalled. I look forward to becoming a regular customer again.
6/24/07 Not What It Used To Be!: New owners. Not as good as it used to be. I have been a regular customer for years. My last two visits on 6/15/07 and 6/24/07 were less than satisfactory. On my 6/24 visit, my food was served cold, although my wife's food was served warm. The quality of the food and the service were not what it used to be. The extensive selection of cakes and desserts has been significantly reduced. When leaving, I told the cashier that my last two visits had been disappointing. She indifferently responded that "maybe the third time will be the charm"...I don't think so!!
