Sorry to say, but WGTC isn't about an education--it seems to be about how long they can keep the students going and how much money they can get. I took a course there--I asked about a course to learn excel--they insisted I would have to enroll in a degree program and take the basic courses first, which would teach me to use a computer, use the internet, use word, publisher, etc. I already knew how to use those programs and used them daily. I also used works, powerpoint, etc, etc. I just didn't know how to use excel and wanted a course on that--not possible! Then, I was told I would have to take a placement test to see if I needed "remedial" math or english courses! I had to fight them on that one-I recently graduated with two bachelor's degrees, with a 3.9 GPA. Finally, they agreed if I provided them with a certified transcript, I MIGHT not have to take placement courses! I took the course, the teacher wasn't there most of the time, just instructions on which part of the book to use that day. I ended up helping those students who really didn't know how to use the programs since there was no one else there. At least, he didn't require a research paper and powerpoint presentation like every other course in the degree program did. Yes, being able to write a research paper and do a presentation is important for a career, but not really necessary for the lower level courses--that is something that would be useful toward the end of the degree program, not just used as "busy work" in every course at a TECHNICAL school. They don't seem able to help the students learn a skill that will help them in the real world, just how to be taken advantage of and how to waste time.
