Eckerd Drugs on Ponce is a breath of fresh air: I read a negative review about Eckerd on Ponce and had to respond. I visit Eckerd Drugs for so many purchases. I used their photography lab often (Dre who runs that department is exceptional!) I also use the pharmacy. They know me by name, despite the fact that I only come there once a month. They ask about my children and know their names too. They look at my pictures and ooh and ahh. They regularly recommend over-the-counter drugs when I have a particular need. I get a Christmas Card from Allison and the other pharmacists. I find great and usually surprising gifts throughout the store for beyond-reasonable prices. Also, when I moved a couple of miles away they saved boxes for me to use in my packing. Now I live closer two other Eckerds and CVS's are closer, but I primarily make the drive back to Eckerds on Ponce de Leon! Great job guys and thanks for your good customer service!
Nightmare Experience: Eckerd(891 Ponce De Leon Ave, Atlanta, Ga 30306)has terrible customer service. In the present sales ad, it was a Charmin 12 pack roll on sale for $3.39. The paper didn't specify it was single nor double roll. The sale sign for the Charmin in the store didn't specify as well. It was a few stocked on the shelf. The price came up $9.00 on the cash register. I tried to explain to the manager on duty(George Wiley)who was very RUDE that according to retail policies, if the merchandise is placed in front that sign, the customer is suppose to get it for that price. He didn't want to listen to word that I had to say. I spoke with Edward J Dudley II(Store Manager) he didn't understand the retail policies as well so, I just left. Employees should understand retail polices. I will never shop at Eckerd again!
