| About: | Imagine the fun your family can have at Atlanta's own children's museum located only footsteps away from the Georgia Aquarium and Centennial Olympic Park in the heart of downtown's cultural district. Imagine It! The Children's Museum of Atlanta is designed for children 8 years old and under, but welcomes children (and adults) of all ages. The museum features four permanent exhibits that explore food, nature, engineering and artistic expression. Highlights include a giant ball machine, painting wall, sand sculpture station and hands-on water feature where children don raincoats and splash away. The museum also hosts traveling exhibits and regularly features special stage shows and educational programs. - Rachel Quartarone |

Pass on this unless you have really small children and absolutely nothing else to do. My 5 and 7 year old were done with this in less than an hour. Not a lot to do and the exhibits seem geared for really young children.
too much money for little things to do: For my 9 and 5 year old, the place was fun, but for us the almost $50 we had to pay for a family of 4 was too much money to just play with toys. Save your money and buy a pizza at chuck e cheeses.
Loved It!: My kids had soooo much fun! Even with a good section of the Museum closed down (Sesame Street exibit was getting put up in the Morph Gallery) the kids, ages 7 and 2, did not lack for anything to do. My 2 year old daughter loved the recycled plastic "sand" box and spent most of her time in it. My son loved the Tools for Solutions section and found several kids his age to play with. The staff was friendly and helpful and they kept the entire Museum clean. If I lived in Atlanta I would definatly get a membership. Well worth it!
