| About: | Just steps from Centennial Olympic Park and downtown hotels, this former Baptist church isn't much to behold from the street, but the interior is a marvel of architectural restoration. Constructed in 1911, the building features three levels of seating facing the stage, plus numerous lounges, billiards areas, bars and secluded alcoves. The facility hosts a full schedule of top-flight entertainment throughout the year and is a spectacular place to enjoy a concert. A more intimate venue is located below in the aptly named Cellar, where smaller acts are booked. |

OMG! When I even hear the name: Tabernacle..I get excited and warm inside; I met the greatest person while covering a concert there in 2006! Michael T. White is one of the most fascinating maintenance managers there! His personality and attitude makes your stay there even better; not forgetting he's a great looker!
But while I was there to cover COMMON's performance there, the staff at the Tabernacle was great! They offered so much hospitality that I felt as if I had never left home!
Concert Heaven: Great Venue, Great Sound and comfortable
Awful seats: Went there for a comedy show. The seats were horrible, couldn't see anything. They had video screens up but they were soo blurry you couldn't see the show that way either. There was no leg room. I'm 5'4" and had knee cramps by the end of the show. Out of the 3 bathroom stalls only one of the doors shut properly. One if you locked it you were locked in for good and the other you had to hang a jacket on it so that it would stay closed. The show was great but I will not go to that venue again.
