Traditional Mexican food is blended well with the flavor of California to create a delectable fare. Pull up a stool at the bar, watch TV or grab a booth for drinks and dinner. The restaurant does not care too much about exaggerated presentations or fancy dish names but prefers to concentrate on food that is tasty and prepared with the freshest ingredients. The atmosphere is funky, accented with fresh colors and lots of beer gear!
This place is jam packed on weekends with good looking people. The food is really good too and the kitchen stays open pretty late too. This place is what Midtown really needed!
I stopped in here while visiting Atlanta one weekend. There were lots of 20 & 30 somethings and they played good music from the jukebox and later a DJ. They have a pretty good beer selection and the prices were decent. I didn't try the food, but I think it was southwestern. They had tv's showing sports which was good. Apparently they have events like pudding wrestling sometimes. it got a little loud to have a conversation, so we stepped out on the back porch and sat at a table and that worked out well. They had a porch out front by the street also, but it was full. It was a fun place that I would go back to!
We've been to Twisted Taco on two separate occasions, but have only dined there on one. We prefer it mainly for the entertainment factor. Twisted Taco has karaoke on Saturday nights. It's actually the ONLY place in Midtown Atlanta that we could find with karaoke on Saturday nights. It has a high-energy atmosphere and is a great place to meet people. Service is great and dinner and drinks were very reasonable. There's no dance floor, but people seem to make do between the tables.
