No thanks to nan: My daughter invited me to Nan for my birthday lunch.
We did not have resversations, but we were promptly seated, unfortunately at a table in a back corner. I strained my neck to see what appeared to be a lovely space. The service was prompt, although alittle curt and I felt rushed as the wait staff appeared too often to check our progress. They even opened our rice bowls to see if it was finished. My shrimp were over cooked in an entree that most could perpare at home.
I will not go back as it lacked any gracious feeling and the pricy food was just okay.

Outstanding: I presently live in Manhattan but have travelled several times to Thailand in the past and thus have been exposed to the real thing.
I have dined frequently at the Oriental in Bangkok, for instance, and up till today, until I had lunch at Nan for my sister's birthday, I can honestly say I had not found a thai restaurant in the USA,which had impressed me!
Needless to mention I was very pleasantly surprised with the ambiance, the quality and the presentation of the various dishes, the unparalleled graciousness of the thai waitresses....even the decor of the mens restroom, which I would say is,in my opinion by far more subtle and sophisticated than the ones at the Buddha Bar in Paris or at Tao's...
I am looking forward to my next trip down to Hotlanta so that I can experience another sublime meal in this fabulous Thai Gastronomic Haven.
My compliments to the Owner/Chef and his carefully selected Staff, amongst which Mr.Thaddeus Keefe.
    Keep up the good work!!!
