Had a reservation for 8:00 and arrived at 7:45 to stop at the bar for a drink 1st. I was told that I needed to take the table now or lose it, so we sat at 7:45 right next to the waiter station. Every waiter in the place brushed up against us as they were going to the register to place their orders.
Ordered our food and the Lobster came out fried not broiled. My 1st mistake was to send it back. The waiters assistant thought he should question me as to why I sent it back, I told him no big deal that it would be fine, but he deceided to get loud and try and make me unconfortable. I stayed cool even after several of him attempts to intimadate me. I deceided to get the food to go after his last episode so the manager came to see why we were leaving, I said no problem we just wanted to go.
The waiters assistant box up the food and as a last dig at me he put someones old food in my contained, much to his suprise I checked the box before I left. He ran for the back. I made a huge scene in front of the other quest and the manager compt. the bill and apoligized but the damage was done.
Never again will I go to Chops Lobster bar. Been there 20 times and never again
.
GOOD AND BAD Forced to leave a 40 dollar tip on a 800.00 bill. Food was the best in Atlanta, been several times with company guest. Even though the food was great the service was not. Upon seating waiter placed a heavy soiled cloth on one of my guest and she had to hold it up and wave it to make him understand it was dirty. Second the waiter tried to bring out to many meals and was forced to touch the food to stop it from falling over (he was lucky his helper was there to save it.) Last was my and other guest ran out of somthing to drink and I went thru the last half of my meal and all of desert and no one offered a coke which is what I was drinking. MAYBE getting such a small tip will force the waiter to consider why.I did not complain to the management at the time as I was trying to make the best of a bad situation.
Okay, I am in love. This place was absolutely devine. I frequently eat out at some great restaurants, but my anniversary was this past weekend and I wanted to go somewhere romantic, with a beautiful setting, great food, and great service. I asked around and several friends said Chops/Lobster Bar. I checked them out online...it looked good,so we went. AHHHHH. It was fantabulous! My anniversary was perfectly set in motion here. The service was Incredible(Tom we'll be back)! Food was great. Try the fried lobster, heavenly. The cheesecake, delish. I couldn't find one thing to complain about and I'm very picky and critical. This place went straight to the top of my list. Get there and you'll see why!
