I went there to get some glasses for my kid. The staff there was great and very professional. Its not a place for people like myself being that we have a family of four. The prices were very steep even once my insurance covered its portion. I can't see myself picking out a frame of glasses costing $200 for a 7 year old when i know they will be lost or broken. By the way the $200 dollars covers the frame only, not the lenses or any other add ons. Like most optometrist insurance is deducted from the retail price. Sale prices doesn't apply to those using vision insurance.
Wow! This place rocks! I'm giving a shout-out to the woman with black hair who looks like Darryl Hannah/Sandra Bullock. She's a hoot! She was very friendly, knew her stuff, and has a great sense of humor. She worked hard with Natalie Michel, another associate, to get me a good deal on frames, lenses and extras.
Natalie Michel is in a class by herself! What a trip this woman is! Hilarious, but professional! I laughed and laughed there yesterday. It helped ease the sting of the high cost of the bifocals I had to get. Who knew such a good time could be had at the ol' eye care store?
Yes, some of their frames are waaaaay pricey. But come on, what do you expect from name brands like Sean John, Calvin Klein, etc? All in all, I was most impressed with this store. Gotta go back and get my eyes dilated, though... ugh!
One complaint: I felt as though Dr. Tsu spoke down to me, slightly. I don't know, it might have been the headache I had or something, but she just kind of came across that way.
I'm looking forward to getting my new glasses and getting rid of this rotten eyestrain headache I've had for the last two years!
Great Staff, Better Frames: I loved my experience with Midtown Eye Care. The staff was very helpful, and kind. Also, the frame selection there is wonderful! Pricey, but gorgeous. Highly recommended.

Yeah, I was probably suffering from eye strain and asthma the day I saw Dr. Tsu. I'm sure she's all kinds of cool, so I'll be in to see her in a few weeks... I'm sort of overdue to have my eyes dilated!
