I love intermezzo for one thing and one thing only......the tiramisu. It's imported from Vienna and is absolutely the best tiramisu I've ever had in my life!!!! It seems to be a staple in their cake display too. (Just to let you know, I am a total tiramisu snob and this one it the cat's meow.) They have a cake person that you can quiz on every single cake in the display and it's always mildly entertaining to mess with them..."what's this? what's that? what's this? and that?" lol
As far as everything else goes, the coffees are decent. There is a seemingly endless list of beverage choices so there is something for everyone. Beware the hot teas because they are all loose-leaf and I'm not keen on having to pick my drink out of my teeth. The food is decent. The servers are usually pleasant enough, but usually really freaking slow so it's not a place to go to when you're in a hurry, Still it's a cute little spot, great for dates or chats with buddies.
The food and coffee isn't bad, but it's always perpetually dark inside. I realize they're shooting for a certain vibe, but I like to see what's on my table, thanks. Come for the coffee, leave with bad eyesight.
If you like the idea of private conversations, dessert, and a great cup of coffee this is the spot to visit! The menu is diverse and some of the best desserts in town!
