Great Lunch spot: Awsome power lunch spot in & out relitivly fast and the parking is validated.
Worst experience ever!!!: What a HORRIBLE lunch experience!
We celebrated Mother's Day 2006 in this restaurant and we were completely disappointed with the service, the menu and the food. First of all, we had a reservation and they still made us wait 45 minutes. When we got to the table it was dirty (the chairs were dirty as well) and there was no silverware or napkins.
The server informed us that he was busy, but that we could go ahead to the buffet. Buffet???? We were shocked. When we called to make the reservations there was no mention of a buffet and when we checked the website they specifically said that it was a menu served lunch. The buffet/menu selection was poor to say the least. Most of the choices were egg of some sort and for a 2pm lunch egg is not what customers have in mind. The only meat options were a ham and a cold turkey, none of which had even a sauce to accompany the plate. For a $40 / per person fix price the least I expect is a broad selection of breakfast and lunch food.
There was a wait for everything, the drinks took at least 15 minutes to arrive, the appearance of the buffet tables were disorganized and dirty, the food located in the platters seem old and in short supplies, the restrooms were filthy, the manager keep running from table to table trying to appease the dinners who were in the majority complaining for the terrible experience.
The experience was so negative at the end of the lunch we called the manager to express our dissatisfaction and as soon as he arrived he said: I know the experience was no good!
For a Mothers Day celebration I expected the restaurant to serve an excellent experience for such an important day, instead they ruined Mothers Day for a large group of women.
The only good thing about the entire experience was the piano player who was pleasant and played beautifully.
City Grill: Wonderful and delicious!!
