we went to the food studio in 1999 and returned after relocating back to atl. First time found it innovating in its menu and especially its atmosphere. we were quite excited back then. Returned 7/07 and found the restaurant disappointing. We sat at the farthest table upstairs which I highly RECOMMEND TO AVOID even though our reservation was @ 8pm with most of the downstairs portion empty. (a poor mgmnt approach to appease wait staff tips I think). the food was so-so.
Not terribly expensive but not a good value.

This restaurant was filled with the most amazing and diverse diners. With impecable timing each course created a distinct impression. Do Not Pass the Lemon Basil Bombe - or whatever it is called for dessert, it is incredible.
No rush, no fuss efficiency, quiet enough that I (a hearing aid user, not old, just hard of hearing) could talk and enjoy my partner. Wonderful food, views into the well choreographed kitchen, great wine, a dessert to wake my senses back up...what more could one want?
Don't miss this professional food purveyor...
