What a great time, This was a fun establishment with a great staff. Everyone was friendly and made us feel like regulars. The coffee was good but the French toast was simply awesome. The Peanut Butter French Toast was out of this world.

    Awesome breakfast!
Definitely one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. We ordered the Sweet Potato Pancakes, the Cowboy Benedict, and the Hoppin' Highland. Everything was a delicious departure from the ordinary. My friend and I agreed that the Sweet Potato Pancakes were probably the best pancakes we have ever had. Large portions, reasonable prices, good service by friendly staff, and good coffee too. The space is clean and bright, accented with exposed brick walls and cool art. I wish there was a place like this where I live!

Charming Neighborhood Bakery + More: The baked goods at Highland Bakery are truly excellent, a dieter's nightmare. For breakfast, they offer excellent eggs, grits, and sausage. The ambiance is very conducive to hanging out alone or in small groups, very open, retro, and lofty. Service is friendly but with a kind of beatnik twist. Highly recommended.
