| About: | This is a small, mostly student hangout offering healthy, African vegetarian food with a strong Ethiopian influence. The stated specialty is delicious, cholesterol-free cooking, and they do a pretty good job of it, and a pretty good business. It's no wonder this place is so popular with local students, as all meals are priced at about USD5-6. The interesting menu at this low-key joint isn't for everyone, however, unless you have a taste for soy ice cream with your collard greens. |

User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThis place totally rocks! The kalebone (which I'd never had previously) was to die for. The staff was very kind and attentive. They had the best soy based mac and cheese that I have tasted-- EVER. This place is totally addictive. I'm kind of glad it's a far drive for me because with the price, quality, and taste of the food...I would be there every single day.
I explained that I'd never been to the restaurant before and was treated with samples of their fare...I wanted everything! Parking was a bit of a hassle as we'd parked in CVS parking lot and thankfully, they restaurant has signs posted EVERYWHERE stating that your car will be towed if you use their lot. We had to move the car across the street behind Goodwill but that's better than having to pay for a tow.-

User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI have been coming to Soul Vegetarian since 2005 when I moved to Atlanta for school. I enjoy the food very much. I haven't found anything I don't like, but I especially like the mac and chesse. Get here early and try the buffet. Pick up a cook book while you are here, I have tried the recipes at home and they are great.
