Elegant: A long established Chinese/Korean elegant restaurant, always packed and serving beautifuly prepared, mildly spicy dishes.
Going on Twenty Years: We saw a line in front of a non-descript brick building on Christmas day 1988. We stood in line for an hour and when we finally got to our table we were greeted with a suprise. Authentic asian cuisine. Not your typical fare but the real thing. We have been lucky enough to have traveled to the far east and Pung Mie is the real thing. The kimshe appetizers are straight from northern Korea as well as the Yaki man doo( fried dumplings). The rest of the dishes are excellent and the authenticity can be verified by the diners, mostly asian. We have enjoyed the food here for almost twenty years and the only thing that has changed is the location. They moved next door. We still see the same servers and hosts that sat us back then and the food has been consistently excellent every time we eat there. I even took a chef friend of mine and he raved about the quality of the whole experience. The service is friendly and the prices are fair for the wonderful tastes that come from the kitchen. Bring your chopsticks and your appetite, you will not be dissapointed.
great food: Very good hot & sour soup and dumplings. The steamed fish is also very good but a bit on the pricey side.
