User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsDr. Karisny is a very -- very-- good doctor. He takes the time to call you at home and does followup. He cares about his patients very much. I would highly recommend everyone to make the appointment to see him. The reason that it takes so long so see him is that he TAKES his time with his patients and actually talks to them. If you are lucky enough to be one of his patients, then you are very lucky. Nicole has been very nice to me -- I pay my bills and that is all that she is trying to do is to receive payment for services rendered. As a medical professional, you would be surprised on how many patients do not pay their bills after they start feeling better. Even doctors have bills to pay.

I disagree entirely with the below reviews. My experience with the Dr. Karisny and the office staff including Nicole was great. While there initially was some delay in the billing when they changed over to a new computer system, this is no longer the case. I receive my statements in a very timely manner. Nicole has always been very helpful in dealing with any questions I may have regarding my bill. She has also always been willing to work with me when I was not able to pay my bill in full, allowing me to make payments. She has always been friendly with the staff. They seem like a very happy family. I am not sure what the below people were talking about but I cannot disagree more. I would strongly recommend anyone consider choosing Dr. Karisny for their family doctor.

User Rating: 2 out of 5 starsDr. Karisny is wonderful but wife is only problem: I absolutely love Dr. Karisny and most of his staff. I do find him to be overwhelmed and it is hard to get an appointment and to get in and out in a reasonable amount of time. His wife is my only complaint. She does NOT know how to run an office. It takes them 3 months to deposit a check from an office visit! And when you have to talk to her, which I try to do as little as possible, she is VERY rude. The patients and staff would do well if they got rid of her.

I agree 100%. Dr. Karisny is a great doctor, but I think he needs to start wearing the pants and tell his wife to stay home and raise their children that they can't controll. She is VERY rude to Dr. Karisny's patients and employees. I do believe she can run the office: IN THE GROUND!! I think if Dr. Karisny wants to keep his patients and his business, he needs to send Nicole packing.
I agree with all the above. They really need a qualified office manager. I have heard Nicole treats staff pretty bad too. This is nothing new. She is rude to patients who complain the way she files insurance. They really need someone who is familiar with the business and knows how to treat people. Dr. Karisny is a good doctor, but his wife is going to take him down if he doesn't dismiss her as the manager.
