My family and I visited Harry Bissett's tonight and were very disappointed. The food is usually very good. I do believe our server is at fault in the disaster of a meal. We sat for 20 minutes before our appetizers came. We did have our champagne and water for the children. The oysters rockefeller and bienville were delicious. We entertained ourselves for quite some time with our camera. We discussed the kinds of deserts that we might get after the meal. After apps, we asked RJ to bring us bread for the kids. It seemed to take forever for the swordfish, crabcakes, and french onion soup to cook. By this time an hour has passed. The food came about 15 minutes after the bread which isn't bad timing. We would have been satisfied to have been visited every 15 minutes. Didn't happen. Our fish was over done because it obviously sat under a heat lamp. the crab cake app was good. The french onion soup would have been delicious to our daughter if she was still awake! When we finally asked for our ticket (shouldn't have had to ask) he brought us a ticket for drinks only. He didn't even have the order punched in which Probably explains why our food was so late getting to us. He had to take the ticket back to add the food. Sorely Sad about our experience. I do believe RJ needs to go back to bussing tables.

Absolutely, my favorite place to eat in Athens. They have the best dinner bar in town. No other place will give the same service, guaranteed. I miss it. The food is great, the serice is great, the people are friendly...what else do you need. Bissett's pulls it off. I dont give many 5's but, this is it.
