New Way Cleaners & Launderers

I cannot believe that people continue to go to this cleaners. They have miserable customer service. I live a block away and I drive across town after numerous bad experiences. On average, it takes 10 minutes to drop off or pick up an order because they can never find my shirts or they are in the back and make no effort to come to the front to help out.

Recently I picked up a shirt and it was wrinkled and had a black smudge on the front. It looked like it had been dropped on the floor or caught in greasy machinery. The elderly woman at the front claimed that it had been brought in that way. (Not true, but if so, why would they give it back to me in that condition?) Four visits later I went to pick up my shirt and the lady said it still was not ready. After insisting that it should be ready after two weeks, she went to the back and got it for me.

I cannot wait until this place closes down and is replaced by a restaurant. Athens doesn't need this kind of poor service.

horrible customer service. let me walk you through and experience. drop of 4 shirts, two pants and a tie. kinda forget about them and week and a half later, go pick them up. i get home and realize i am missing a shirt. call them, they had it in someone else's bag. no biggie, i go pick it up. putting away my clothes that night, i realize one of the shirts isn't even pressed and the tie still has the stain i asked them to remove. i take both back, they say they will take care of it. i come back a week or so later to pick it up, my shirt is ready but the tie is nowhere to be found. the lady tells me she call the other store and track it down. i ask her to call me when she goes, she agrees. no phone call after two days. i call back, talk to a young man and he says he will call me back. he does not. call back two days later and the tie is there. i go pick it up, the lady tries to charge me for the tie a second. time. i tell her i paid for this a month ago, the stain is still there and i am ticked off.

aside from the the issues above, here are some other gems:
- when i dropped the order off initially, they guy in there was asleep.
- he didn't have any tape to mark the stain, but assured me it would be taken care of.
- they do not give any receipt when you drop off, so if you are like me and have many other things going on, you might forget what you actually take to the cleaners. they just say your stuff will be ready and under your name
- when i game back to pick up my shirt and tie and the tie was not there, i expressed my frustrations to the lady behind the counter and she immediately told me the problem was with their other store and not her. i told her i didn't deal with the other store. i do my business with her store and i expected her to rectify the problem.
- never once did i get a call back from this store on the order. i know they have a lot of customers and they can't call everyone, but when you have a customer with a problem and they've asked you to call them, you probably should do so.

this place is convenient to my office and was recommended by co-workers, so i am disappointed there were so many issues. i think it is absurd i had to go to the cleaners 5 times after my initial drop off for this to be over. i could had put up with the initial forgetting one of my shirts or the pressing of another, but all of that together made for a horrible experience.

i strongly urge you to find another cleaners.
