Growing up in Perry GA, almost every Thursday evening my grandparents would order Skipper John's chicken for us. My granddaddy would always have a fish dinner. It was so yummy. I recently went back home, after moving away about 12 years ago, and the only place (besides my grandparents house) that I wanted to go to was Skipper Johns. I brought one of my friends from Maryland with me. We couldnt waiut to get where we were going before we opened up our bags and began to consume the tasty treats. OMG. The fried pickles and onion rings were the best that I have ever tasted. Mind you, I have traveled around the world a little and still nothing compared. The chicken was awesome as well. Great food and great prices. See you in October.
today when i was cooking my 9 yr old son just out of the blue said "mommy I remember when Daddy used to take me to get a haircut and we went next door to this chicken place they made the best fried chiken i ever had" just a side bar we now live in CT and the last time he ate there he was 6 so that should tell you something about the food it is a memory maker.
