| About: | A National Historic Landmark considered to be one of the most advanced Antebellum homes in America, this magnificent 18,000 square foot Italian Renaissance Revival mansion has been featured on A&E's \"America's Castles\" and it was inspired by the palazzos of Florence and Rome. The home is filled with beautiful 18th century furnishings and features Italian Carerra marble fireplaces and a music room with a 30 foot clerestory ceiling. A museum gift shop is also on site. Open 7 days a week for tours, Mondays - Saturdays 10-4, Sundays 1-4. Tours every hour with the last one at 3pm daily. |

User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsThey are not a place I would recomend to anyone for a special event or any kind of function. They are nice and friendly till you sign the contract then after you do they ignore you and are simply rude. We had a wedding their and one of many things is that we had to help thier staff set up their items for it because they acted as if it wasnt important at all. They also use a fire marshel which is the husband of one of their employees who falsly stated how many guest we had, and was extremly unprofessional. Their staff during the whole wedding and reception just sat on the staircase and gossiped which showed their overall lack of professionalism. Their is much more I could say as reason not to do buisness with this establishment, but in closing take my advice don't ever do buisness with this place.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsa perfect wedding: the staff is very friendly and helpful. My evening wedding was absoutly amazing. You have use of entire facility and have access to three floors, perfect to seperate the bridesmaids from the groomsmen to get ready for the event. Very eligant. Chairs and tables provided. I couldnt have asked for more!!!!
