The steaks are huge, the service is great, and the atmosphere is family-friendly. We were pleased with the prices on the simple menu of fried catfish, a few select broiled steaks, and basic fried seafood. We had the large T-Bone which literally hung off the plates' sides. Steaks offered are the T-Bone (large, medium, or small), the Delmonico, a filet, or prime rib. Our fries were fresh with a light batter adding some crunch and taste. The large baked potatoes were brought out to nearby tables steaming hot. My "half side" of fried shrimp did not disappoint ($4.00 for 6). They were of good size with a light breading. The most expensive entree (the large T-Bone or the seafood platter of oysters, shrimp, scallops, deviled crab) is only $14.95. All entrees include the all-you-can eat salad bar and the choice of fries or baked potato. The accompanying roll was luke-warm and non-descript. The salad bar was fresh with a good variety. Pasta salads, potato salad, and fruits were available. A choice of 3 or 4 desserts were also included on the bar for those who had room left for them! The new buidling is large and open with all surfaces in a rustic unfinshed wood. A large porch right on the pond-side is available for seating in appropriate weather. Diners get a great view of the pond while visiting the sald bar. I was disappointed to be seated in a corner with views of the parking lot, the drink station, and the kitchen door. However, luckier customers had one of the several tables near the large windows with pond views. Alcohol is not served. We had a long wait between ordering and getting our steaks (about 30 minutes) but we agreed it was worth it. Pleasant details included a small vase of fresh flowers and a candle on each table; a little disarming are all of the mounted deer heads. I recommend this restuarant to those who enjoy an excellent broiled steak and great prices.
