WOW, I can't believe anyone would have anything BAD to say about this wonderful little breakfast place. We visited Tybee Island while on vacation from Washington state and found the service fast and friendly, and the breakfast to DIE FOR. I had the pork chops with gravy, and a side of grits, and my girlfriend had the Italian scramble. I really enjoyed my breakfast, but one I got a taste of the Italian scramble, I was hooked. That was the best tasting breakfast item I have ever had. WOW!! Sure, the building is old and a little run down, but we feel that only adds to the charm and character of the place. I would recommend this place to anyone who doesn't judge the quality of a place by it's appearance, but rather by it's quality service, and superb food. Why else do you think there is a long line every morning? My only bad thing to say about THE WORLD FAMOUS BREAKFAST CLUB, is that it is so far away from here. Maybe we need a franchise here in Washington?
Be prepared to stand in line. It is worth it. You have got to try the Cheese grits. Excellent. This is the same chef who helped in catering JFK Jr's wedding. My husband had the Talapia special and it was just perfect. Sort of a hole in the wall place, but the food is very good.
My family visited Tybee Island during the week of New Year's 2008. Heard great reviews about The Breakfast Club. We don't agree! Hostess was rude. Locals were complaining about all of the "visitors" for the Polar Bear Plunge (which my family participated in). I can fix a better omelet at home! Pecan waffle was highlight of experience! I'm not sure why people would stand outside to eat here! Also... they could clean the place up some! Bad service/ok food
