About:Since 1971, this affordable joint once occupied a cotton warehouse that dates to the 18th century, providing no-nonsense grub with an emphasis on low country goodness.     I have eaten at the Exchange Tavern since I was a child. During the day it is a family friendly atmosphere. My husband and I went to Savannah, GA. for our honey moon and ate at the Exhange Tavern 3 or 4 times while we where there. We love it. I would highly recommend it and always take friends and family there when visiting Savanah. The hot bread and cheese appetizer is a favorite with us. I have never had anything that was not good.
    Go and Enjoy a great meal with friends and family at a great price.

    I will not return to this restaurant ever again for as long I reside in Savannah, Ga. The first time I went to this place I found glass inside my sandwhich. Yes, it was glass, it even cut my gums. The next time I went there I ordered a bucket of steamed oysters. The oysters were fine, but at the bottom of my bucket I discovered a dead bug. I would not suggest anyone to go there.

    Great Place: Great bar for having fun and fantastic food. The Shrimp and Fried Grits was the best ever. Would definitly go back and recommend to others.
