    A few years ago we moved to the north side of the ATL. We have tried multiple Japanese restraunts in and around Atlanta. None are as good as Mikata's in good 'ole Macon, GA. We try to eat there whenever we are back home. Great food and always great service!

    First time to this steakhouse. The rice was lacking in flavor, numerous folks were adding salt. Recommend the filet mignon not the steak. Their seafood sauce reminded me of French dressing, try Masato's sauce in Savannah, GA, an industry standard. The ginger dressing was excellent, the sushi was packed tight and very fresh. Service was very good. Good drinks.

    Best Japanese place in Middle GA: I have been to 3 japanese steak houses in middle GA with much disappointment from all 3. My finace insisted we go to Mikata's because he had eaten there before. I was expecting the same not so good food. Boy was I surprised! This is now my favorite place to go. Price are about $13-$20. You get a salad, soup, an entre with big portions and dessert. Service is great and it has great atmosphere. I would recommend Mikata's to anyone and everyone!

    I am not sure about the person who said the food is cold. They cook it right in front of you and serve it straight from the griddle. Are you sure you have the right place?
