My boyfriend & I were in Savannah for a long weekend. We ate Sunday brunch at the Soho Cafe. It was a charming, eclectic cafe. The service was quick & the food was wonderful. Great dining experience!
Went here for Sunday brunch with a group of 5 based on the good reviews. Bad choice. When we arrived there were several available tables, one that was particularly perfect for our size of group, yet we were put on a wait list. We checked out the art in the front and waited for over half an hour, when we were seated at the exact table we'd been eyeing. Once we ordered and got our food our server was not to be seen at our table again. Not that she wasn't near our table, it's just that she did not stop by to see if our food was prepared o.k., came out as ordered, refills on coffee, etc. In fact, we had to go to the front to ask someone to get our check for us. I would have liked the chance to ask for my eggs to be scrambled as ordered, but what are you going to do? I'm sure that there is better value and service in Savannah!
One hot summer day my wife and I took a trip to Savannah from Jacksonville, FL. We just so happened to walk by Soho South Cafe right about lunch time. What a great find and so aptly named. Now it is a regular stop for us anytime we visit Savannah. We love the funky artistic backyard style. The food is always delightful. I always get a sweet tea with a spring of fresh mint. Of course you have to order it right to get the mint. Try this: " I do declare. I would love some sweet tea." Works everytime for me. Enjoy!!
