About:A cross between a dressed up deli and a fancy Starbucks, this convenient bistro is operated by the Savannah College of Art and Design. Occupying the site of a longtime Savannah institution, Solomon's Drug Store, the meticulously updated property offers a dozen varieties of tea and as many of coffee, in addition to sandwiches, soups, salads and a delectable assortment of fresh-baked pastries. Prepare to wait a bit longer than normal if you come in the late afternoon, as traditional tea service is practiced between 4pm and 6pm. Cash only.

    Visited Savannah with family in October. Stopped by this quant little restaurant and have to say it was the best darn salad I ever had. Highly recommend. Family members had sandwiches which were big enough for two to share.

    Visiting Savannah happened upon the Tea Room and loved it. As it was continuously busy I assume others do too. Very beautiful, delicious tea with wide selection and big pots, good sandwiches and salads and heavenly deserts. Despite the other reviews we found the staff charming and enthusiastic. Loved it and that included two college age young people and two much older.

    Terrible food and less than intelligent staff. Stay away for your own sake.
