Had the pleasure of dining at the Pink House on Feb 7 2009. Our waiter was Clay. Very polite and very good at his job. We started with crab cake appetizers, outstanding, next came a pepper encrusted Fillet in a mushroom sauce, arguably the best Fillet I've had in 20 years. My wife had the Broccoli rabe, don't order that. Also her glass of wine was perhaps 4 oz. (glass was less than half full). I ordered a double Glenlivet, straight up and got a single. I called the waiter on that one and he promptly asked the manager to make it good, which was done. All in all a good experience. We would do it again but we would have our drinks elsewhere. Service was excellent, albeit, a little slow.
Very elegant. Loved the attention focused on the history. After our dinner the server gave us a tour of the Pink House and told us a little about the history. The key lime pie was AMAZING!!!!! You must try it! My husband had the duck and it was also amazing. I had a pasta dish that I would not recommend but other than that it was Fantastic!
Delicious food. Had the crab cake appetizer, which was excellent. Also had the flounder, which is the signature dish for the restaurant. It was dynamite! Followed that up with a slice of key lime pie. I only feast like this when I am on vacation.
The attention to the history and architecture and detail that the owners have put into the renovation is amazing. Before you leave, take a tour of all the rooms in the restaurant. Each room is different.
The service was ultra attentive, even if it was often slow. Since each server takes complete care of his or her tables, you end up waiting on mundane things like water refills. I don't fault my waitress. She was very professional and nice.
