    I mentioned we had a dentist appt. yesterday and both of my boys eyes lit up!! They love going an hour and a half to see the dentist. I wouldn't take them anywhere else. I have always been pleased with the entire staff and am a patient myself!!! I think it really helps children and the staff to allow them back alone. My boys are extremely confident and have no fear. I thought it was a little different the first time, but turns out that most children behave better when the parent is not around. I completely understand the logic and it lets my boys handle their own business, so to speak, in a safe environment! If you're an over bearing parent-they WILL let you back with your child...but things usually go more smoothly without the interruption.

    never have I ever had a dentist that would NOT let the parent go into the office with child. If you like to make sure your kids are ok and don't feel comfortable letting them go back behind a closed door with no windows ,this is not the place for you. Very disappointing, guess that's their policy and some are comfortable with that but not me. I like to know what's going on and to be with my child when she is in a strange place. Might work for some but not for me. Found a new dentist and will stick with her, has no problem with parents in the office while work is being done. This is the only dentist I have heard of that has a no parent in the room with child. Got me in quickly but just not for me.

    I have been going to this dentist since I was a child, and now my kids are going to Dr. Grantham. Him and the staff there are awesome. Best dentist in Valdosta,GA and north Fl.
