User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsWell, I suppose the service at my old address is still on....ho hum...they never got out there to cut it off...We got tired of problems with internet and cable also. We went with Dish at our new home in Leesburg and are very satisfied indeed. we now have internet with At and T. Happy with that so far too. Mediacom needs to rethink sales, service, quality,product line,and Customer Satisfaction. They just don't get it do they? Nope.
User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsWhy can't Mediacom get the volume on the commercials the same as on the programs? Every time a commercial comes on, it is so loud we have to MUTE the sound. Oh well, I guess their advertisers don't care that people can't listen to their commercials!!

I have had medicacom service ever since I moved from Chicago in 2005, SOhave had it for about 3 years now and never ever had any services issue, unless my cats knocked a wire lose. Most people who do expierence many service interuptions call in very upset needless to say I bet it would pay off by the end of the call if most customers did not call in so obnoxiuosly. No CSR there really wants to hear your personal problems at all. They will do the best they can for you if your not ignorant. Once you do that and find it is useful get the reps ext. and when you call back in ask for them they will remember you if you dont call in acting like because your service is out your life is going to end and that you have nothing better to do. When you think about it they have control over how to get you the best help, and most likey say how they feel and say what they wish they could tell you but cant b/c they would lose there job. Anytiem i call there no matter the situation I let them help and when i hang up I hang up happy. Than i know i can call back and get the same good customer service I should.
All in all, great company. In my area i wish they didn't out source the installers. Seriously i think there are 2-3 actual Mediacom employed line installers, and the rest are just contractors.
Can't beat the price/speed ratio's compared to other providers in Columbus GA.
Knology (7/512k) doesn't even get close to the 15/1 that Mediacom offers.
Not so sure about Charter, i have never lived in an area able to get them...so i can't really say much about them.
If you want blazing fast downloads and great upload speed, Mediacom is the choice to make.....unless you live in south Columbus, St. Mary's road and lower, i hear they aren't so hot down there.
*note* if you do happen to go with Mediacom they have an "On Time Guarantee" so if for some reason the installer doesn't come at the time specified, call up customer service and tell them your tech was late and you would like your $20 "On Time" refund. They won't ever mention it to you, you have to ask

POSER! Hello... you quoted almost verbatim the line used in the commercials... "Blazing fast downloads..." And you know WAAAAY too much about the service coverage areas. Not to mention you gave yourself away using callcenter lingo. Get real!
