This is one of those secret finds that only the locals know. Peck's started as a barbeque place and they to have excellent barbeque. They have the best baked beans I have ever tasted. But the owner lived in Louisiana for a while and brought home Louisiana bride and a flare for their cooking. When I go I usually have the blackened shrimp and oysters with a grilled quail and baked beans. They also have a menu full of items prepared in a way that is truly their own. They have a shorter lunch menu but even then there are many good things such as the double cheese burger that stands about seven inches tall, steak sandwiches that actually have rib eye steak in it and more. All for a price you can afford.
Sooooo Good!: One of the best kept secrets of the south, hands down. Everything is good! And your wallet won't be hurting when your done. Service is friendly and polite. Your going to have to wait a few minutes for your food as it's made *when* you order it but it's more than worth the wait. So count it out as fast food but don't count it out as good food. Really can't say enough good things about it...just go try it!
