    My husband and I got married on Amelia Island in 2003 and had the pleasure of dining at Barbara Jean's Restaurant. The food and ambience added to our bliss! We purchased the cookbook that is offered by the restaurant, and to this day I still make the best potato salad from a fantastic recipe that is offered in this book! Highly recommend this restaurant - try eating outside it is a tropical experience!

    One of the Best of the Best: This is one of our favorite restaurants. You have the option of dining inside or outside, which faces the marsh and river. The food is GREAT! My favorite is the curried chicken salad. Each order comes with a basket of absolutely delicious breads - pumpkin, jalapeno cornbread, and whole wheat rolls. The atmosphere is very comfortable and relaxing.

    Real food!: Great southern-style vegetables, i.e., cooked to death - none of those crispy green beans here! Terrific cabbage - great meatloaf. Nice view.
