I had two friends and my mother along during a weekend horse event at my brother and sister in-law's horse farm on rt27..... so I asked "where can we enjoy local culture" and he recommeneded two places - B.Merrell's (great place) and Hunter's Pub. Oh yea, what great food and service. OK, sure it's at the crossroads of nowhere. I can't wait to go back. Thanks to the local folks who made us feel so welcome. Do the - anything and fried lobster tail at Hunter's. Russ

great steaks. some of the best I've eaten anywhere. Salads were average, plastic cups and paper napkins were out of character for this price range and a downside. Desserts are great. Overall, a great place to eat but don't expect atmosphere or a fine china setting.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThe first time I ate at Hunters Pub, I had ask a local in Columbus, where was the one place that we wanted to eat while we were there? He said if we didnt mind a little drive, Hunters Pub. The guy that was with me travels constantly all over the US and eats steak in some of the finest steak houses. He stated that it was by far the best steak he had ever had. A year later I took another associate of mine who is a steak afficianado, he also stated it was the best steak he had ever experienced. Both times that I have been there, I have seen high end automobiles littering the grounds around the place...no big signs or bilboards....the best places don't have to brag or beg. Be sure to try the Deep Fried Lobster...Excellent.... Well I tell everyone I know traveling to Columbus that they have to try Hunters Pub....If your looking for a frilly Chic restaurant....Go find a Ruth Chris....If you want Great Food in a Southern setting that is meant to be comfortable and casual....your in the right place...Laid back and Great Food....let yourself be human and foret trying to impress....Just Wonderful!
