Everyone from Cook’s Air Conditioning & Heating Specialists that we have dealt with from the beginning of our air conditioning problem have been professional. We first spoke with Ron when we made our first phone call explaining our problem and arranged for a service call. Then we had Rodney who came out to inspect our air conditioning unit and discuss what was wrong. He took the time to go over many details with us he was very informative and took even more time to go over all our questions patiently. He left us feeling like we made the right choice. We then had Aaron and Jesse who installed our new air conditioning unit. They were professional and courteous. We were impressed by their hard work and how they took the time to show us what they were doing and answering any questions that we still had. We would not hesitate to recommend Cook’s Air Conditioning & Heating Specialist to anyone we know. MY Sister in Law's parents own and operate an air conditioning and mechanical company down in South Florida. They too have been impressed with this company (even though they are competitors). The thing is if you should ALWAYS have preventative maintenance on your AC unit. At least once to twice a year. Sort of like maintaining your car. If you don't take care of it or maintain it then of course it will NOT work properly. UPDATE: I dropped a star BECAUSE of two things. The day the mechanical was done the electrician was supposed to do HIS work. Well, he came out after 6pm and then tells us "Oh I need to see what I have to do and then I have to get the parts and I will be out first thing Monday morning" THEN come Monday morning someone stayed home to make sure this could be taken care of. Nothing and then around 2/3pm we get a phone call saying something came up and they would be out there Tuesday morning. Tuesday morning comes and goes THEN we FINALLY get a phone call saying that he would be here about 7pm. WHAT? Well they FINALLY got there AFTER 7:30pm and stayed until after 8pm. Not impressed with the electrician they employed. NOW we get a phone call that an inspector NEEDS to come out and do an inspection. I used to work for a South Florida city in permitting. SOMEONE should have told us that a permit was required as well as an inspection. So someone failed to do this. So, sorry due to that, we lowered the rating one star! I was under the impression that the work can not be done until a permit is actually issued. So if we had been in violation we would have been very upset.
