Went in for routine service (car at 81k). I was given list of 'Critical' items that I was 'Declining' service on, though I was given my car and not warned of the 'dangers' associated with not having these repairs immediatly done. Anyway, I inquired as to the Water Pump replacement (recommended)cost. I asked if it was internal or external (remove timing chain or not). I was told that they would have to remove the timing chain to service, thusly the $530 cost. I went somewhere else and had it done for $230; it was external. Toyota was trying to jack me on service hours, as far as i'm concerned. Other recommended service that was determined to not be necessary: battery replacement, air filter replacement, and induction system service. Oil leak from oil pan marked as 'critical', though other mechanic stated it was just a little wet spot and could wait. I have not had any oil drips in garage. Watch out for unnecessary service recommendations or exagerated service time estimates. Get a second opinion before giving them any money.
