I live on the West Coast where we have many authentic Mexican restaurants, and went to Acapulco while on vacation with family. I can honestly say I have had better Mexican food in Eastern Europe. My tostadas were cold, the ground beef was pinkish and weirdly mushy, and the quesadilla cheese was a Kraft single. No joke. There were six of us at the table, and not one of us came close to finishing anything. The waiter looked at our full plates, and quietly took them away like he was used to throwing food in the trash. I manage a cafe, and this place was awful. Awful drinks, awful food, awful prices, awful awful awful. Trust me and DO NOT EAT HERE.

This restuarant has wonderful food. The prices are good for the portion of food you get. My recoomendations: for lunch, Enchilada suizas, chile rellenos,, or fajitas. Dinner: Carnitas, Mocajete don monuel, or tacos de piscado. This is my favorite restaurant, as well as a local folk favorite. I encourage you to eat here, and I'm sure you'll enjoy!

Don't EAT here!!! We were looking for something other than seafood and what a disaster. Stale chips, dirty booth, and food was poor. It was actually disgusting. I mean how can you mess up Mexican food? I make it at home all the time and it was better than this. And it was $25 for 2 people at lunch!! No alcohol either. Maybe that would have helped the experience. : )

Maybe you were just too cheap to be there. Haha. I'm sure you don't know how to cook authentic mexican food. I'm a waitress... and know the restuarant very well and know the food. This food is wonderful. Maybe you ordered the cheapest meal on the menu and could've gotten it at Taco Bell. Everything in that restuarant is fresh and homemade. And go look at the online health inspection from this restuarant. It has a higher rating than 95% of restaurants in St. Augustine.
