Right on the beach! This is the place dreams were made of! Food is great! Drinks are cold! Prices are good. Did I say that this is right on the beach? Swimsuit? No problem. We bring out of town guests here frequently. Worth the drive to Crescent Beach. You can't go wrong here.

If you like your seafood prepared with a slightly different twist (a little Key West, a little Cajun, a little Caribbean), then this restaurant is sure to have several items on the menu that you’ll love! You can eat either at the bar with the lively atmosphere of the latest sports event & the bartender’s chit-chat, upstairs in a room surrounded by windows with a breathtaking view of the dunes & the Atlantic Ocean, or outside on the deck with the ocean breezes & the sound of the surf nearby. South Beach Grill is located about 20-25 miles south of downtown historic St. Augustine, off of A1A in Crescent Beach. During our 5-night stay in that area, we enjoyed dinner at this restaurant twice and lunch once! The first night, we ordered the Fish Tacos, prepared with blackened tilapia (you can also order this with the fish fried), along with a chipotle sour cream and their signature red beans & rice. The fish was moist, the tortillas were soft & fresh, and the red beans & rice were a surprising & interesting addition (very tasty)! The second time we had dinner there, we each enjoyed their “award-winning” Roasted Corn and Blue Crab White Clam Chowder – very good – along with an appetizer (the steamed – then served chilled – Shrimp Cocktail I ordered was some of the freshest I’ve ever had!). For lunch on another day, I ordered the Crab Cake Sandwich with fresh blue crab meat, which had a good flavor (although the crab cake was made with a little too much breading). They have a good variety of sandwiches, burgers, and wraps on the menu. They also have a full bar and offer dozens of different “beach cocktails” to add some fun to your experience! You must add this restaurant to your list of places to go while in St. Augustine – it’s worth the drive, even if you just go for an appetizer, a cocktail, and a great view of the Atlantic!
