I love this lighthouse. I go there all the time. Amazing view from the top. :)
Fun climb: If you're not afraid of heights, this is a cool place to visit. Once you make it to the top you get a spectacular view of the city. Just be careful if it's busy as you may have to wait to climb a floor. The museum is informational as well. Lots of interesting artifacts to see and read.
Great View at the Top!: A fantastic old lighthouse painted like a black and white barber's pole. Climbing the 210+ steps to the top is a work out in itself. It costs Under $8 to get in and when you get to the top it is breathtaking. Just a hint -- make sure your batteries are charged in your camera because nothing is worse then getting to the top... then not being able to take pictures because the batteries went dead! The only down side is that there is no handicap access to the top of the lighthouse. Other than that I highly recommend going for the view and the historic significance to the lighthouse.
