We went to Worman's on Wed (6/10) and ate breakfast and took some baked goods to go.
We got our initial cup of coffee, then, finally, after we were done eating, and ready to leave, she showed back up and offered a second cup. The entire time we were eating we were watching an employee slice, weigh, and individually wrap meats, all the while, shoving some of the meat into her own mouth. It was gross, she would weigh the meat, take off the extra, and put it, and her hand, in her mouth, then do it all over again. Other employees came by, with unwashed, ungloved hands and reached into the pile of cut meat and took some and ate as well. Further, a vender stopped in, and ate too. Uh, hello, ew! Said vendor also leaned across, with his entire upper body, a food prep counter and propped himself up there, chatting.
Prior to sitting down to eat we had ordered some baked goods to go. We were told we were getting a pecan wreath, what we got was a quasi cinnamon bread chock full of raisins. I mean, FULL. One serving yielded over 2 dozen raisins. It was so dry, like it had been baked days earlier. We served it to company that very afternoon and not a single person finished their serving. It was really bad.
We also bought what we thought was a loaf of fresh bread. Wrong. We bought it Wed morning. On Saturday morning I went to make toast, and it was all moldy. I don't expect bakery bread to last a long time, but I also don't expect it to be fully moldy in 3 days. We purchase only bakery breads without preservatives, and I know what it's supposed to look and taste like, and this was not it. We wont ever go back, and buyer beware, if you go there to get a sandwich, who knows whose hands have been on your meat after being in their mouth. Yuck!!
Great food....: Enjoy a wonderful meal, great food and resonable prices in a wonderful atmosphere. Super place for a filling and delicious lunch in the downtown area.
