He earned his DMD degree in 1989, and his MMSc degree in 1991. Dr. Ruiz has also received a Certificate in Periodontics from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, and continues his dental education every three to four months. Dr. Ruiz is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of Osseointegration, the American Academy of Periodontology. He has received many awards, including the Northeastern Society of Periodontists Award for excellence in undergraduate periodontics, and the Quintessence Award for outstanding performance in clinical periodontics.
