This review is for Marie's on North Monroe. To begin: we were seated at a table in the front hallway it seemed; drafty; so we asked to be moved but to no avail; service was slow, the waitress had zilch personality; granted I don't like the ones who smother you but she was the great stone face; our meal arrived and you could tell it had been sitting for awhile, lukewarm; refills were slow and we had to ask. Steaks were fine but i don't like my french fries soaking in steak sauce, wilted. We thoroughly enjoyed the pianist and vocalist who joined him later. We did not have room for dessert. The staff needs more training . I would like to try them at lunch; prices are probably more moderate. For what we paid we were slightly disappointed.

Recently visited Marthas for the third and last time. The steaks while good certainly were no better than outback or Longhorns. My guests all had steaks, my wife and the other ladies had filets and I had chicken. My wife said hers was no better than Longhorn or the Outback. I usually get chicken breasts where ever I go and the chicken is my benchmark. Well this time it was not good way overcooked and not moist.
Food aside the service was awful. There were plenty of empty tables but the entire dinner took two hours with long, long waits between ordering and the appetiser and even longer for the other courses. Drink glasses were always empty and waits of 15 minutes between refills was the norm. This coupled with a messed up order with no apology nor even a sincere offer of correcting it. " Ah , well I guess I could replace it but it will take awhile" cinched my decision to never go again.
The live pianist plays better than the autoplay but for where we were located was too loud for easy conversation.

You must have had a new waiter - we have been going to Marie's for years and the steaks at this restaurant are more tasty than Longhorn and Outback combined! You must have ordered the sirloin and not the ribeye because the cut of meat is key. We have never had slow or bad service and the food is superb! Sorry, I'll have to disagree with your review and give you a piece of advice. Don't order chicken in a steak restaurant. :)
my friend steak lover I've been there three yrs ago and had the same experience as my friend Mike M. The waitress was absolutely inexperienced. And yes Longhorn and Outback are undoubtably better than this one. And ordering chicken in steak restaurant is not a problem because it takes less to cook than steak.
I have to agree. It has been a few months since Ive been. The first 2 times was wonderful but the last time steaks were small and very overcooked. Not a good value for the money it costs. Maybe it was just a off night. I hope so cause it really was good the first few times.
