Best real Chinese in Tallahassee, soso buffett: One of my classmates is Chinese and he brought me here almost 2 years ago. They have a simple looking normal buffett, but we went with a group of Chinese people, and the owner cooked special food for them. It was stuff that was not on the menu, and it blew my mind.

I've been back several times since then, and the owner knows me, so she will cook special food for me if I ask. I have done so to impress people a few times. When I don't want her to cook something special, I usually get a dish called "Basil Chicken" wich is to die for. I think it's about $7. When she cooks special for your, it's usually $9. I've done the buffett before, and it's pretty simple, but not bad. Be advised, there is 1 day per week when they have only buffett (or special order stuff), no menu. I think it might be Friday, but I am not sure.

For the quality of the food you get, the prices here are perhaps the best in town in Asian resturants. I don't think I saw anything over 10 on the menu.

The resturant itself is confortable but simple. The tables are not fancy, the decorations are acceptable but not impressive compaired to other asian resturants in town. There are lots of booths.

The service is very very good. They waitresses are all Chinese graduate students at FSU, who know my classmate, and to me at least, are allways very very nice. Last time we went, we got a few things that we didn't order for free, they just grabbed some dumplings from the buffett and put them on our table when we were ordering from the menu. I don't think they do this for everyone, but they are very nice either way.

From what my classmate tells me, Chinese people in Tallahassee eat at Bamboo House and at North China Gormet.
