D'Fontana Pizza

Yep, it's true! It IS the BEST pizza at the beaches (don't know about all of Jax 'cuz we don't cross the ditch much! :-) I was a staunch supporter of that "other" pizza place for YEARS, let's just say it rhymes with "pals"....until my dad educated me about the new kids on the block and I've never been the same! The icing on the cake is that not only is the pizza to die for, but they even DELIVER! What more could a mom of three little ones ask?? :-)

Pizza here is the best in Jax, by far! we found d'fontana about a year ago and never eat anywhere else. beats all the other pizza places at the beach, by far! their dinners are excellent too.

I am from Chicago, and just as in our sister city Brooklyn, there is a great deal of authentic excellent Italian food to be found.

Unfortunately since moving to Jacksonville, I have found that good authentic food is hard to find... until I went to D'Fontana Pizza. What can one say but YUM YUM YUM!?!?!?!?!

This is without a doubt the BEST Italian food in all of Jacksonville, hands down!!! Not only ids the food great, but they do everything they can to make their customers happy!

I am a vegetarian, and one of the first times I went there, and ordered a dish, I was informed that it had a "meat stock" in the sauce... WOW! Firstly, I was extremely impressed that they knew to let me know they cooked with a chicken stock, and secondly that they cared enough to say something.

Secondly, the atmosphere is that of a little “ma and pa” place on would find in “Little Italy,” in a big city. Complete with employees that know who you are when you come in…

Oh and the piste de resistance?? Their rolls are fresh baked and SMOTHERED with fresh chopped garlic, a must for anyone who likes to keep those pesky vampires away!!!

If you have not yet visited this fine establishment, please do so, I guarantee your taste buds (and your belly), will love you for it!!!
