Totally humiliating experience. They tried to switch the price on me just as I was about to close the deal--I mean, after I'd written my check, obtained my insurance, everything. This is the very kind of behavior that gives car dealerships a bad name. They try to pull the rug out from under you, hoping that they've worn you down and you're so desperate that you will come up on the price so you can drive away in your nice new car. I know how the car biz works, and this is an unethical strategy that the closers sometimes use. Stay away!
Bought a 2009 Sierra pick up truck for $43,000. Added a DVD head rest that was installed after purchase. After 24 working hours the service department can't fif the buzzing noise coming from the speakers. I requested a refund and was told no. Not one offer to correct the problem or reduce the burden on me to get this corrected.
Have had a couple bad experiences already. (1st) I took my car in for a full fluid overhall and spark-plug change. Everything was fine, except a couple days after my fuel line started leaking. Pretty sure it wasn't leaking before I brought it to university. I promptly took it elsewhere to get it fixed. (2nd) My car audio system was getting no sound. It was a factory system, so I had no choice but to take it to the dealer. After lying to me about the repairs they estimated $650 for the work. Luckily I know a little about car audio and how much things really cost. I asked for my car back, did a little online research and fixed the probelm myself for $220; cost of the part.
These guys just don't care. I know they're really busy, go by the MSRP parts prices, and do whats best for the dealership; but they could careless about actually helping people. It's hard to find an honest car repair shop around town; you definetly find one at University.
