Triple J Steak House

I was very disappointed in this steak house. It took over an hour to get our food and there wasn't many customers in the bldg. By the time we got out it was too late to go and do the Ripleys Believe It because they were closing. And what the worst part is once we did get our food, it was not good. My fiance usually eats hamburgers and I told him go ahead and splurge on the seafood platter for $20 and the portions was a joke. It wouldn't fill up a 2 year old. They say there was Jumbo Shrimp and that was not true these shrimp were so little and only 4 of them. And the Grouper was only 2 ounces worth and was hard. So for $20 go somewhere else because this is not where you want to get your seafood. The portion sizes didn't even fill up half the plate! I had ordered the chicken fettuccine and it was nasty, the chicken was processed and it was tough. It was so gross tasting I sent it back. the only thing that was any good was the hamburger for my son, and who wants to wait a hour and a half for a burger! Never again with this place.

We were craving good beef and being local have tried all the local restaurants with varied results. We decided to give Triple J a try after several years abscence. The cute Ukranian waitress was attentive and responsive though she obviously was somewhat limited in English. My wife had the Prime Rib which was excellent and i had a NY Strip. It was cooked perfectly( i like rare but warm throughout) seasoned perfectly and had the taste and texture of a Prime steak. Best in this County. Ranked with the best in the US. Atmosphere a little lacking. Now my favorite. Tom Mason

My wife and I have lived in Panama City Beach for 7 years on and off and have eaten at almost every local restaraunt in Bay County at least once. Triple J's is about a mile from our house so it is almost expected we would try their fare. We went in Sunday afternoon 04/26/2009 at about 4:oo pm and were promptly seated in the outside dining area. Our server (who had zero personality) greeted us and quickly returned with our drinks. I ordered the 16oz cut of prime rib (med rare) and she ordered the seafood alfredo. The food came out rather quickly, the server placed it on our table and retreated inside. My wife noticed the scallops on her pasta were cooked only on one side and I cut, rather sawed into my steak to find it was more well done than medium rare. Only thing I can compare it to is cutting shoe leather. We made excuses for the kitchen and politely waited for the server to return. About 17 minutes later our server finally returned to the table only to take her scallops and my steak back to the kitchen leaving the pasta that was topped with the raw seafood. About 8 minutes went by and he did not return. We went inside to speak with the manager who seemed offended that we were unhappy. With no apology our check was taken care of (which was expected) and we left hungry and having wasted 1 hour of our limited time off of work.

Extremely disappointed!
