Big 10? That's on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the WORST! The car shimmied. That's all. Its one thing to quote a price and be wrong ($370.00 quote and $517.47 price), but when that still doesn't fix what is wrong... then something is wrong. Replaced: (2) tie rod ends, (2) ball joints, (1) strut mount. Needed: (1) tire (the belt was broken and the car shimmied). Vannoy Tire, two blocks down, put a new tire on for $85 dollars. The shimmy stopped immediately. This one is going to be handled in court - use Big 10 Tires at your own risk.
watch your wallet: my mother in law went and had some struts put on her camry and the front end aligned 2 days later she gets this clunking in the front end i take it down for her and they say the right front strut is bad brand new right they will warranty the strut but 100.00 labor say i tell them never mind take my care to auto sav they tighten up some brake bolts big 10 left loose and didnt charge me a dime thats service big 10 is not the best place to go the one on new warrington road is really bad
Not Happy: It's too bad, the guys all seemed nice enough and they were refered by a local dive shop but my wife and I drove down from Indiana in May 2006, we had shimmy in the front end when we got on the brakes...a bad shimmy. Rotors, right? The sales guy at big ten, Vic or Vince, I forget, said they checked the rotors and they were okay but they discovered a bad outer tie-rod, in fact, both turned out to be bad according to them. This was a 2001 Olds Aurora V8 with brand new tires on the front. Long story made short....new tie-rods didn't help and when I got home, a $60 rotor job fixed what $340 in new tie rods didn't do. Thanks Big Ten!
