Lighthouse Restaurant

i just recently traveled to destin on vacation with my friend and was looking forward to sampling the local seafood. we tried a few of the well known restaurants in the city (including the horrible AJ's) and were beyond disappointed. my friend and i decided to read reviews of recommended restaurants and were decided upon the lighthouse. i must say, this was one of the best dining experiences i have ever had and we were beyond impressed. the only drawback was we had a little trouble finding the place since it is tucked behind some stores. but when we finally arrived the staff was more than courteous and we were immediately seated. it had a very comforting atmosphere and we got to take advantage of the half priced entrees on the right side of the menu. awesome deal. the portions are not as big as you may get from other places but we found that it was just enough and the food was excellent. plus we got to save room for the delicious homemade peach cobbler. our waitress, Dwan, was super nice and knowledgeable and she went out of her way to make our experience perfect. i will most definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone and will most definitely be returning. can't wait until next time!

We recently held a small wedding reception (approx 35 people) at the Lighthouse and were completely amazed and delighted with the entire experience! The service we received from the restaurant management and staff far exceeded our expectations. The table arrangements were beautiful, service was excellent, and the food was simply delicious! We received numerous compliments from the wedding guests. We are so grateful that the restaurant management and staff made this occassion truly memorable for our bride and groom. Thank you so much!!

I have lived here on and off since 1978 but only recently discovered this fantastic restaurant. I'm SO glad I did! The atmosphere is not the noisy "rule" of restaurants these days. There is NO T.V. to compete with, no feeling of being rushed, and one doesn't need to flag down a waitress to keep a beverage glass filled. "Sam". my waitress, was VERY attentive to me during my meal tonight, service was FAST, and everything was cooked to perfection. I had their special of MAINE lobster and Prime Rib, with a salad that had very crisp, cold lettuce. It was served with a tasty "mini-loaf" of wheat bread All the food was delicious, and too much for me, so I took home a "doggie bag" of food. On another visit I had a seafood dish that was also wonderful. To top it off, most of their dishes are "half price" DAILY from 4:30 - 8:00p.m. What's not to like? I'll be back and I certainly recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone who enjoys great food, great service, and an atmosphere that invites relaxation and conversation with friends.
