Fun with Facts and Thrill: i love this musem it is filled with amazing facts and thrill, the kids will love it ,with tons of airplanes and other BIG airplanes . the funest things of all is the simulator kids can sit in and see what it is like in a real aircraft.so enjoy!
One-of-a-kind For the Hardcore: First, the museum is most definitely not up to "museum" standards, not to mention USAF standards.... The majority of the aircraft outside are in serious need of serious upkeep, although this may be a leftover from hurricanes Dennis and Ivan. Internally, the displays are disjointed and done mostly in amateur fashion. However, the draw for this museum is in it's extensive collection of hardward - missiles, drones, bombs, rockets and guns, of all sizes, shapes, weights, and calibers, not limited to just aircraft. It is one thing to read about a weapon, but quite another to see one up-close or mounted on an aircraft...or perhaps in cut-away, or at least statically displayed for close inspection.
This museum is well worth the stop for those who have a serious interest in the nuts and bolts side of the technology of killing and destruction. Just don't expect anything like the Naval Aviation Museum over in Pcola, or the Smithsonian up in DC.
Education: I'm not a military person...but I enjoyed going to this museum. I like the arts and it was different to go to this type of museum but I loved it. I learned alot....and now I want a plane or jet or something. Go check it out people!
