I've had three experiences with this shop repairing my 2001 Honda VTR 1000 Superhawk.
The first time, I had a faulty brake light actuator switch. I called, was told to bring the bike in, and Marc replaced the actuator on the spot and charged me for the part and minimal labor.
The second time, I had low level electrical leakage and Marc spent about 15 minutes on the phone with me walking me through some troubleshooting procedures. All he asked in return was the opportunity to sell me a new battery if mine went dead again.
The third time, I took my bike in for 20K maintenance and got it back as promised (3 days in the shop) and I'm satisfied with the work performed. Normal turn-around for interval maintenance is 2 to 5 days, so 3 days is about average.
Marc (who owns the shop and typically deals with customers) doesn't have a sweetness-and-light personality and this puts some people off. Me personally, I don't care. I'm not looking for a lifeskills coach, I just want someone who can fix my machine when it needs service and RPM is up to the task. The other alternative is Streits, which I've also used. Streits is a good shop, but I find it inconvenient to take my bike there as opposed to RPM which is located on a bus line which gets me back to UF.
I hope this helps those who are considering using this shop but have seen negative reviews. I don't have a dog in the fight, but I believe some of the negative reviews of RPM are personality-driven and ignore the fact that this shop does good work at a reasonable price.

RPM has great rates and does great work. Gets the job done fast and right the first time. Has very knowledgable technicians. two thumbs up!! I wouldn't trust my bike with anybody else.
I have an '02 GSX-R that I originally came to get tires on and have brought it back for any repair that I don't know how to do myself. They have the best prices in Gainesville and the employees and owner are all very courteous and knowledgeable.
